Very helpful that DrK educated Me on the lingering issues from open heart surgery that the trauma of the surgery has also affected my brain through the deepening the depression I’m experiencing and not recovering as fast I emagend I would.

The follow up visit was basically handled by the nurse practitioner. Although she was professional and somewhat thorough, she was not familiar with my background or up to date with my medical history with the cardiologist.
The doctor came into the room halfway through the visit and we went on to discuss weight control options which included bariatric surgery and steps needed prior to such surgery.
In my opinion, I need to be better informed of the pros & cons of these steps needed, the surgery and long term effects. He verbally gave me the name of a surgeon. I would have appreciated a more formal approach to initial contact with a prospective surgeon. He left the room prior to the end of my visit with the practitioner and subsequent date of a follow up to a follow up visit. What's the game plan besides me being proactive with my own research ?
